Agnieszka Ciarkowska was born and raised in Poland. She is a full-time teacher, a writer, an ilustrator and a crafter. Agnieszka loves to read books and she is a hopeful romantic. She lives in Maryland. Agnieszka Ciarkowska is the author of two children's books, Morning Meeting and A Little Caterpillar Afraid of the Dark and one young adult novel, Cherokee Rose.
Cherokee Rose
Main character in Cherokee Rose, Grace Davis, grew up believing she was just an ordinary girl. Then she started 11th grade and discovered nothing could be farther from the truth. Grace begins to have dreams and visions that challenge everything she believes. Is she losing her mind or are there forces bigger than she could imagine at work?
As Grace begins a journey of self-discovery, she meets Adam. Their attraction is undeniable, but their connection goes so much deeper. Grace is falling for him, but Adam has a mystery of his own. With Chen, Shemsa, and Mira along for the ride, Grace races against time to discover who she really is and fulfill her destiny.
A Little Caterpillar Afraid of the Dark
This book is about facing fears of the unknown. A little caterpillar was afraid of the dark. An owl and her friends came to support the caterpillar. They asked the caterpillar about her fears and helped to confront them. All the animals stayed close, offered her a light, provided encouraging words and a safe environment. Working together, her friends allowed the caterpillar to relax. In the end, they applauded her bravery and everyone was rewarded with witnessing her beautiful transformation.
Morning Meeting
A preschool morning meeting is a great way to start off the day in an early childhood classroom. This is the time the children gather as a whole group to discuss current projects and inquiries, solve problems, and develop new activity ideas. The children love to share information about important events in their lives, or opinions on different topics. In this book, in place of children, the author gives voice to birds. While having a morning meeting, the birds display their different personalities, and share their thoughts and beliefs.

She designs and makes greeting cards for different occasions. Her cards are multi-dimensional artworks. She incorporates more than one medium or material in her work, including acrylics, ink sprays, cloth, paper, wood and other objects.
